A project funded in part by Southeastern SARE and the SC Peach Council was recently featured in Vegetable and Specialty Crop News. We determined that applying a 1.5% oil solution at delayed-dormant timing to pre-pruned trees required larger volume of oil solution to be as effective in managing San Jose scale as 100 gpa applied to post-pruned trees. These results will hopefully help growers more effectively and more efficiently manage scale insects in their orchards. Check out the article here.
